Kinja'd!!!

I had to run out to my parents' place to get a piece of luggage for my business trip to Seattle this coming week and I stumbled across an album with photos of a few of my old vehicles.

I've got a few more hiding somewhere, but when I eventually find 'em I'll post em.

My old Alfa (and my old TA in the background)

My old Trans Am GTA (and my dad's Suburban in the background. We put a small block 400 into that thing together about a year or two before this photo was taken. That was a fun truck. I eventually bought that from him but it was later wrecked by my ex, after which I sold it to my brother-in-law)

My 1979 Harley Davidson FLH two-wheels-bad (with my dad's Heritage Softtail in the background. I eventually sold my FLH to buy his softtail when he bought his '03 Ultra Classic. I lost the softtail due to the circumstances of my divorce three years ago). Note the characteristic AMF oil drip below it, hehehe.

I believe I took those last two during a visit home while I was living in Vancouver, B.C. My parents were kind enough to store some of my toys for me on their property while I ventured out into the world as a young man to find myself.

Here's a pic of my two-wheels-bad after I first bought it in 1999.

I know I've got more photos somewhere, they're all just stuffed away somewhere in my parents' basement or in the shed.

These photos represent some beautiful memories, and some horrible regrets; I regret getting rid of that Trans Am the most. That was a fun goddamn car! The Alfa was fun, when it was running, but nowhere near as fun as the TA.

One of these days I'd like to own one again, but I know deep down I'll probably never find one in as good a shape as that one.

It was costing me an arm and a leg to repair, and was going to need additional repairs. Plus by the time I moved back to the States in '03 it had been sitting and deteriorating for three years, and I decided I'd rather put the money into the TA.

I used the proceeds from the sale of the Alfa to fund some improvements to the TA.

Yeah, it was gorgeous. Plus it had the gold striping and emblems. That doesn't really show in the photos, but the white and gold really went very well together.

The only thing I wanted to change about the appearance was to take the interior from black and tan to all black.

They were both good trucks. That purple Ford was my little sister's.
